THE SMALL PRINT, MADE READABLE

Your privacy, clearly.

What the app stores, what you can control and where your information goes.

Updated 13 October 2026 · Payday Calendar

No account is needed. Your schedule and budget are calculated in your browser.

What stays on your device

The app saves your pay schedule, up to 100 bill definitions (names, amounts, due dates, repeat patterns and paid dates), whether the bills list is used in the budget, budget amounts, money set aside, chosen end date, theme and up to 20 recent spending entries (amount, label and date) in your browser’s local storage. A “What if?” preview is not saved unless you apply it as spending. These settings remain until you clear them or your browser removes site data. They are not automatically synced to another device.

The app caches its pages, scripts and icons so the countdown can work offline after an initial visit. Clearing site data also removes this offline copy.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics is optional. Our analytics notice offers Allow analytics and No thanks. Until you allow it, the site does not load Google Analytics or send Analytics events. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is unavailable, it applies to the current page only.

If you allow analytics, Google may set Analytics cookies and process information such as browser/device details, page visits and basic clicks on links and controls. Click events contain the control type and, when available, a stable ID or static label. We do not send text entered into fields, selected values, budget amounts, bill details or payday dates. Query strings and fragments are removed from the page address and referrer we supply to Analytics.

Use Cookie settings to change your analytics choice. Choosing No thanks stops further Analytics collection. It does not erase information already received by Google. You can remove existing cookies using your browser’s privacy controls.

The dashboard includes the Google AdSense tag, which requests advertising and Google’s consent message where available. The guides, About, contact, privacy and terms pages do not load this ad tag. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Advertising choices are managed through Advertising choices on the dashboard; allowing analytics does not grant advertising consent. Google may store advertising consent choices in cookies or similar browser storage. If the advertising choices control is unavailable, the site will say so.

See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Hosting and shared links

Cloudflare Pages hosts the website and processes network requests needed to deliver and protect it. Requests can include an IP address, requested URL and browser information. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The hosting service also adds Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page visits and loading performance. This is separate from optional Google Analytics. Cloudflare describes this service as not using cookies or local storage to track visitors; see Cloudflare Web Analytics information.

Share links contain your selected pay schedule and relevant dates. Anyone with the link can read them, and the URL may appear in browser history or hosting logs. Budget figures and bill details are not included in the link.

Calendars and contact emails

Opening Google Calendar passes the selected payday to Google. Downloading an .ics file creates the calendar file locally; the calendar app you import it into has its own privacy practices.

The contact form opens a draft in your email app. It does not send automatically. If you send it, the name, email address and message you provide are used to respond to your enquiry. Avoid including bank details or other sensitive information.

Your choices

You can edit saved values in the app, change cookie settings above, or remove stored preferences and cached files using your browser’s site-data settings. To ask about information supplied by email, contact [email protected].
